NAPA Distribution Center expansion approved in Silver Spring Township

SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP – The final land development plan for the expansion of an auto parts distribution center in Silver Spring Township was approved by supervisors this week. NAPA Carlisle, at 9 Eleanor Drive, plans to add approximately 35,000 square feet to its current 51,000-square-foot distribution building, including a 2,315-square-foot retail area. Silver Spring Township supervisors last month approved a conditional use for the property that would allow for impervious coverage to increase from 53 percent to 80 percent.

Bruce Teal, NAPA regional vice president, reported last month that the number of employees will increase from 28 to 42. The nearest NAPA stores are located in Carlisle and Mechanicsburg. The warehouse serves a 50-mile radius.
