Join CAEDC for a discussion on Healthcare Workforce Development in Cumberland County. Enjoy lunch and networking.
Health care openings currently experiencing critical shortages as well as anticipated areas of critical need were identified. Educational institutions within the region proposed the development of new programming or additional investment in existing programming to address these concerns. The regional health systems promised to assist in the experiential training component of the programs. An effort to coordinate development activities among the educational institutions to avoid duplication is underway. Thus, the purpose of the meeting is to update the community on the progress of this collaborative initiative.
A representative from Thomas Jefferson, Dr. Mitchell Kaminski, MD, MBA will open the luncheon event with observations on current and future healthcare human resource needs. An overview of the evolving healthcare industry focused on the human resource component, identification of current human resource needs acknowledging the work of the collaborative, a real focus on future human resource needs to parallel in many ways the great work of anticipating and addressing these needs by the School of Population Health.
