What are geohazards and how can you avoid substantial impacts or delays to your projects because of them? Geohazards are environmental and geological conditions that include but are not limited to landslides, voids, groundwater seeps, slips, and sinkholes. Each of these features could lead to damage or delays. Find out how scientists, geologists, geophysicists, and geotechnical engineers are using their valuable experience in geohazard identification, state and federal regulatory compliance, and mitigation/remediation to ensure your projects run smoothly and help you avoid/mitigate risk to property, the environment, and human life.
Session Description By participating in this session, you will gain a better understanding of the potential risks geohazards pose to your projects, as well as how to navigate those risks. You will learn how and where geohazards can impact your project, when to take action, and various ways to manage or avoid these risks. This webinar will address upfront geohazard identification and planning, karst evaluations and sinkhole mitigation/monitoring, historical mining impacts and spoils mitigation, landslide and slope design/reconstruction, hydrogeological influence assessments and remediation, geohazard mitigation, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) inadvertent return monitoring and geotechnical considerations.
