Back to list March 06, 2023 CAEDC Hires Economic Development Manager The Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) announces the addition of Christy Zitsch as their Economic Development Manager, beginning Monday, March 6th. The Economic Development Manager’s role is to assist local businesses with expansion, retention, and attraction. In this role, Zitsch will cultivate strategic partnerships and relationships with area businesses, municipal and governmental entities, and Chambers in Cumberland County that directly support the County’s economic health and mission, as well as facilitate financing arrangements through state loan and incentive programs. The position will also create and implement new strategies and best practices for economic development. Zitch comes to CAEDC with over twelve years of expertise in real estate development, historic preservation, community collaboration, and strategic marketing. She brings a passion for curating resilient communities. “Christy will be an excellent addition to the CAEDC team as we continue to build a robust economic development agency to fulfill the strategic plan set forth by the CAEDC Board and Cumberland County Commissioners” said CAEDC’s Executive Director, Janet Anderson. Janet Anderson previously served as CAEDC’s Director of Economic Development until being promoted to Executive Director in December 2022.
