CAEDC is Looking For a Director of Real Estate Development to Join its Team

Cumberland Area Economic Development (CAEDC), Cumberland County’s designated economic development and tourism promotion agency is hiring a Director of Real Estate Development to oversee all economic, community and land development projects and special public and private project financing. This position will be the primary point of contact for the Real Estate Management Group and the Real Estate Development Committee and reports to the CEO.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversight and responsibility for all Real Estate Collaborative (REC) related projects and its subsidiary entities.
  • Oversight of REC projects post-acquisition.
  • Support REC investor relations and consultant relations.
  • Oversight and responsible for all CAEDC and REC local, county, state and federal governments permits and approvals for real estate related projects.
  • Responsible for oversight of all zoning and land development project management to include; grant writing, grant administration, tax exempt financing, and real estate development.
  • Oversight and responsibility for all economic modeling and financial analysis for economic development and REC projects.
  • Support business attraction efforts through the site selection process.
  • Support the planning, site selection and land development efforts of all tourism asset development projects.
  • Primary point of contact for all community and economic development planning in municipalities and within the county.
  • Responsible for all special projects to include; Tax Incremental Financing, Local Economic Revitalization Tax Abatement (LERTAs), PA First Program, New Market Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Brownfield Clean-Up and Remediation Grants.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education:

Fifth year college or university program certificate; and four years related experience and/or training.

Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet needs of varying internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications and familiarity with customer relationship management systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information and must ensure protection of sensitive information
  • High level of attention to detail accuracy and follow through
