They noted that the state’s leaders, residents, businesses, and higher education institutions– from small boroughs to big cities — are working together to find solutions to reduce their collective carbon footprint and be better environmental stewards.
Carlisle, with a population of 20,000, participates in the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s Local Climate Action Assistance Program and has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 26% by 2025.
