Carlisle’s Keystone Aquatics To Host Two Regional Swim Meets

Keystone Aqautics in Carlisle will host two swim meets in December with 325 swimmers and their families planning to attend. The events (December 4-6 and December 11-13) will welcome swimmers from across Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The first event, “The Christmas Invite” will take place December 4-6, and will feature 13-18 year-old swimmers. The second event will be the 18U Junior National Championships, December 11-13, and will feature 13-18 year-old swimmers.

Registration for the events opened on Sunday, November 15th. CAEDC created a tool for visiting families to plan their stays and at Cumberland Valley lodging locations, shops, and restaurants.

“We have established a long list of safety protocols from the guidance of MA Swimming, USA Swimming and PA Department of Health. Things like masks are to worn at all times except when swimmers are actually in the water, social distancing from all swimmers, coaches and volunteers will be enforced.  No spectators will be allowed at the swim meet. We will be livestreaming all the swims. Before and after every swimming session the facility will be disinfected via electrostatic sprayers” said President of Keystone Aquatics, Scott Zacharda.

Zacharda added “We are extremely excited to be able to host the USA 18 and Under Winter Championships. It will be great to see the swimmers swimming to full potential. Many of these swimmers have not been able to race at this level this year because of all the Covid-19 restrictions and cancellations.”
