INTER!ORS Furniture & Design expands into the Cumberland Valley

INTER!ORS Furniture & Design Expands into Cumberland County: High-End Furniture Retailer to Open Third Location in Lower Allen Township

Lancaster, PA (October 22, 2014) INTER!ORS Furniture & Design, headquartered in Lancaster, will open a 35,000-square-foot retail showroom in the lease space formerly occupied by Linens ‘n Things in Camp Hill. Slated for an early summer 2015 opening, this will be the third location in the Lancaster-based retailer’s footprint.

Sharing a building with a Michaels Arts & Crafts store, INTER!ORS is in a highly visible and highly trafficked location, close to U.S. highways 81 and 83 and just off the Lower Allen Drive exit on Route 15, across from Bonefish Grill and Bon-Ton.

“We’ve been looking for several years for the best location in Cumberland County, and we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be retrofitting the 35,000 SF space next to Michaels. Our expansion will allow us to serve customers in Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, Dillsburg, York, Carlisle, Gettysburg, and Hanover,” said Todd Lehman, president of the three-generation family business.

The renovation project will begin in November and will include exterior façade and parking lot improvements, as well as interior build out. (A rendering of the finished store is attached.) The building is owned by Apple Retail Properties, a family business headquartered in York, and is being leased through ROCK Commercial Real Estate, also based in York.

The new store brings job growth, as INTER!ORS will hire 10-12 new positions, in addition to offering career advancement opportunities for several current employees. Those interested in applying for a position are encouraged to respond to [email protected].

“INTER!ORS will be a gem within our Lower Allen Township retail community, offering quality products and services to our Township and surrounding communities,” says Ed Black, President, Lower Allen Township Commissioners.

Offering mid-priced to high-end furniture brands including Stickley, Century, Flexsteel, the Hooker companies, Serta, and Tempur-Pedic, the Camp Hill location will feature a large design center to focus on interior design and custom orders. “We carry a full range of products including furniture, mattresses, window coverings, area rugs, and decorative accessories. With our complimentary design services in home or in store, we specialize in the ability to custom order to provide an unlimited selection-that’s where we shine,” says Lehman.

With the expansion and INTER!ORS’ foray into omni-channel retail, the company will meet growing consumer demands. Furniture and bedding sales are expected to climb 15 percent by 2018 in the Northeastern U.S. (Statista).

“We are in the process of selecting a new slate of trendsetting products that will appeal to a broad age range of style-conscious consumers for the Camp Hill opening,” says Lehman. “We will also be launching a ‘clicks and bricks’ approach for our customers who want to purchase in store and online.”

“At INTER!ORS, we continuously evaluate furniture and lifestyle trends. In the retail fashion industry, this process is even more critical because of the tight design cycle,” says Lehman. “Over our 40-year span, we have refreshed our product focus and business model several times to provide the trendsetting products and services that our customers desire.”

Founded in 1969 by Lillian Lehman, INTER!ORS is owned and managed by sons Todd and Gregg Lehman. Todd Lehman’s son, Justin Lehman, joined the business in 2014 as Director of Ecommerce and Technology.
