The PA SITES grant and loan program was created to develop competitive sites for businesses to relocate or expand within the Commonwealth. The funding for the program includes Planning Grants, and Construction Grants and Loans to support the development of competitive sites within Pennsylvania.
Planning Grants provide funding to conduct a plan or feasibility study for a prospective site that may include the best future use for redevelopment or new development. Construction Grants and Loans serve as gap financing for strategic sites that need financial assistance to help reduce development risk for businesses.
Eligible Applicants Include:
- Municipalities
- Economic Development Organization (i.e. CAEDC)
- Redevelopment Authorities
- Municipal Authorities
- Industrial Development Agency
- For-profit businesses
Through the program, $400 million will be made available to develop pad-ready sites, of which $5 million may be used for comprehensive real estate plans to determine the best economic growth opportunities for the redevelopment or new development of a parcel or parcels. There is no minimum or maximum grant or loan amount.
