DESCRIPTION:The Downtown Mechanicsburg Partnership and the RENAISSANCE Mechanicsburg Revitalization Project invite you to a ribbon-cutting ceremony that celebrates the launch of Center Square Park at  1 W. Main Street.\n\nOn this day\, we will fulfill a promise made to the town’s citizens more than two centuries ago\, and we will usher in a new era of commerce and business development. We invite you to join us on this history-making day.\n\nCENTER SQUARE PARK Schedule of Events:1 West Main Street\n10:30–11:00 AM – The Singer Band of Mechanicsburg\, one of the nation’s oldest town bands\, will perform on the stage.\n11:15 AM to 12:00 PM – The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony\n12:15 PM to 1:30 PM – Complimentary food awaits you on Railroad Walk (as supplies last). Eat there or eat on the Square. Enjoy the music.\nAll are welcomed.\nLet’s make history together.\n\nThe ribbon-cutting activities are being filmed\, and the resulting video will be placed into a 25-year time capsule to be buried in the square. You may be approached by a photographer who will ask: “What would you like to say to the future about the Mechanicsburg of today?”— or— “What are your hopes\, expectations\, or dreams for Mechanicsburg’s future?” Your response may well be selected and preserved in this video for future generations!\n\nTogether let’s join Mechanicsburg’s rich past with our present revitalization efforts andbuild a legacy for the future.
