Project Description:

Market Cross Pub & Brewery has been a downtown Carlisle staple since 1994. In 2017, the owners realized they needed more space to accommodate their guests. They decided to take advantage of their back alley and add an outdoor dining space and Beer Garden. Market Cross applied for a $10,000 Tourism Grant to help cover the costs of the construction and furniture for the new space.

The Market Cross Beer Garden is open to guests over 21 years of age to enjoy daily from 11am – 9:30pm. It is also available for rentals. Market Cross Pub & Brewery is located at 113 North Hanover Street in downtown Carlisle. It is a second-generation, female-owned business serving international and craft brewed beer, premium wines and liquors as well as English/American lunch and dinner.

The Brewery opened on-site in 2002 to offer different styles of all-natural, unfiltered beer that can be found only at Market Cross. The brewery is located in the rear of the pub and uses a 10 Barrel Peter Austin system brought over from England. Market Cross not only offers brews and food, but also entertainment through live bands and daily pubtivities.
