Cumberland Valley To Host PIAA Championships

Cumberland Valley, PA – Cumberland Valley High School will host the PIAA Championships in football, field hockey, soccer and girls volleyball beginning this year through 2025.

The multi-year partnership will bring some of the best high-school athletes and their families to the Cumberland Valley region to eat, shop and stay.

“We are honored to have been selected as the host site for PIAA state football, soccer, field hockey, and girls’ volleyball championships through 2025. However, we could not have earned this honor without the financial and logistical support of the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau. We look forward to partnering together to showcase our great community while putting a spotlight on student-athletes from across the Commonwealth” said Cumberland Valley School District Superintendent Dr. David Christopher

The Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau collaborated with Cumberland Valley School District and PIAA to provide research, as well as promise a financial incentive to offset operating costs to host the championship games.

“Cumberland Valley School District will be a great host for the state championships, and we’re excited to work with Cumberland Valley School District, PIAA and our lodging partners to create a great weekend experience” said Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau Destination Sales Manager, Patrick Bourque.

The PIAA Football Championships alone are estimated to fill around 1,000 room nights each year.
