The Downtown Mechanicsburg Partnership and the RENAISSANCE Mechanicsburg Revitalization Project invite you to a ribbon-cutting ceremony that celebrates the launch of Center Square Park at 1 W. Main Street.
On this day, we will fulfill a promise made to the town’s citizens more than two centuries ago, and we will usher in a new era of commerce and business development. We invite you to join us on this history-making day.

10:30–11:00 AM – The Singer Band of Mechanicsburg, one of the nation’s oldest town bands, will perform on the stage.
11:15 AM to 12:00 PM – The Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
12:15 PM to 1:30 PM – Complimentary food awaits you on Railroad Walk (as supplies last). Eat there or eat on the Square. Enjoy the music.

The ribbon-cutting activities are being filmed, and the resulting video will be placed into a 25-year time capsule to be buried in the square. You may be approached by a photographer who will ask: “What would you like to say to the future about the Mechanicsburg of today?”
