Sky Zone to hire at least 80 for Cumberland County trampoline park

Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park, a chain of family entertainment centers, wants to hire more than 80 people for its new park in Hampden Township. Set to open July 9, Sky Zone Harrisburg will occupy nearly 24,000 square feet in the Gateway Square shopping center. Founded by Rick Platt in Las Vegas in 2004, Sky Zone features open jump, ultimate dodgeball, “Sky Slam” basketball and “SkyRobics” fitness classes. Freestyle flyers can also practice their moves in the giant “Foam Zone.” The franchise company was ranked No. 453 on the 2013 Franchise 500 rankings. It is No. 397 this year with 57 locations, according to Entrepreneur magazine. The Los Angeles-based company had revenue of $50.6 million in 2012, according to Inc. magazine. Sky Zone, which will also open a park in Lancaster County on June 25, has facilities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. It is expanding to Australia and New Zealand.
