Program Used: Tourism Product Development Grant

Project Description:

Since Molly Pitcher Brewing opened their taproom on West High Street in Carlisle, guests have enjoyed craft beer and dining on the outdoor patio. With its upscale landscaping and tasteful outdoor furniture, visitors found an oasis in the heart of downtown Carlisle. Unfortunately, due to a lack of overhead covering to protect customers from the sun as well as inclement weather, the space was unusable on most days of the year.

Looking to provide visitors with a functional outdoor area where they could experience three-season al fresco dining, the owners of Molly Pitcher envisioned a custom wood pergola that would be an esthetically-pleasing addition to the building.

Molly Pitcher Brewing received a $69,048 Tourism Product Development Grant from CAEDC to help complete this project, which, in addition to the installation of the pergola, included a motorized canopy, gutter system, side panels, lighting, string lights, four radiant heaters, two ceiling fans, and electrical work.
