Back to list August 22, 2013 AllBetterCare Opens 2nd Location in Cumberland County Carlisle, PA (August 22, 2013) – Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation is pleased to announce that AllBetterCare Urgent Care has officially opened their second location on Walnut Bottom Rd in Carlisle with their open house on August 22. The new facility will be staffed with one physician and one physician’s assistant at all times to cover eight exam rooms designed to provide care for a wide range of urgent care scenarios. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm, AllBetterCare provides access to urgent medical care outside the crowded emergency departments. No appointment is necessary and registration can be completed online prior to arrival to minimize wait time. AllBetterCare Urgent Care was established in April of 2010 by a team of local emergency physicians opening its first location on the Carlisle Pike in Mechanicsburg. They have experienced tremendous growth since inception that has allowed them to grow to over 27 full-time and part-time positions and care for over 20,000 patients. As a result of this success, they sought to expand to the Carlisle area and looked to local financing authorities to do so. CAEDC partnered with First National Bank for the financing of the Urgent Care project. Total project costs and investment exceed $2 million, which includes the purchase of the real estate, soft costs, construction thereon, and equipment. “This project will create approximately 15 new full-time and part-time jobs and will fill a void in the Greater Carlisle area for urgent medical care to complement the emergency departments at the local hospital,” said Jonathan Bowser, Director of Economic Development at CAEDC.
