Program Used: Tourism Product Development Grant

Project Description:

In the first quarter of 2016, owner Daniel Mowery oversaw significant renovations at Midway Bowling Center including a remodeled bar, restored bowling lanes, and the addition of a gaming area.

However, he envisioned additional renovations to enhance the guest experience and help complete the transformation of Midway from a traditional bowling alley to a multifaceted entertainment facility. The project included a large outdoor patio with a sand volleyball court, four bocce courts, seating for a minimum of 100 guests, fire pits, outdoor lighting and heaters, planters and a mural.

With the assistance of a $100,000 Tourism Product Development Grant from Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) he completed this project, helping to transform Midway from a seasonal to an annual business that offers year-round entertainment.
