High Level Summary of Presentation:
Human Resources, as critical business partner, is evolving beyond compliance and function into a critical measure of business success. Given that the greatest asset, greatest expense and potentially greatest liability is people, the importance of HR cannot be understated in an increasingly competitive market.

Human Resources has evolved several times over the years from Personnel through various changes often driven by “what’s hot” with compliance and programs as an anchor…sometimes hindering the influence HR should have in a Company.

Today, the value proposition is finally becoming evident in that a true partnership can, should and will deliver what a business needs around talent and people in times of high growth and contraction. HR is a stabilizer and a disruptor both; it is that BALANCE that affects top-line growth and bottom-line results that are sustainable.

Let’s spell it out; quick highlights:

  • Business ROI – program, practice, delivery and results
  • Affectivity – YOU- across functions, cultures, norms, etc.
  • Leveraging differences – beyond traditional Diversity and Inclusion – more than

a concept or program, a critical asset to growth and engagement

  • Accountability leads to Actualization
  • No longer “NO” but rather new ideas, innovation and alternatives
  • – Critical “6Cs” of Human Resources – Commitment, Compassion,  Consistency, Community, Compliance and Communication
  • Excitement and engagement built on TRUST

Effective Human Resources can and often will determine success or failure.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss and articulate the delicate balance of  HR as a driver of both change and compliance
  • HR is evolving as a critical partner within a business but not always an easy sell as value added vs. cost center; this program will provide insight to move forward
  • HR is responsible for the greatest asset, the often greatest expense and potential liability in a Company…people. Developing a comprehensive, sustained approach is critical
  • Every HR decision has business impact; every business decision typically impacts people, weathering the storm and/or charting or staying the course is the role of HR to dive positive affectivity, retention and engagement.

Content Development:
Content has been developed through years of HR, Operations and M&A leadership across multiple industries and developing programs with global focus and impact. As an entrepreneur with experience in Search, Coaching, Transition and Learning and Development have observed the challenges HR professionals  demonstrating ROI, sustained value and critical partnership in public, private and private equity companies.

We have put together a focus on understanding and providing key elements around HR being fundamentally, a business driver that supports a strategic business model that aligns human capital systems/programs with the business through improved engagement and retention. BALANCE that is responsive, flexible and on point is essential to raising value.
