South Central Assembly Pandemic Response Series: Second Meeting

The South Central Assembly, partnering with the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, is sponsoring a series of virtual meetings to help community agencies and the region respond to urgent housing and community development needs.

The South Central Assembly will conduct a virtual meeting to discuss recovery needs and steps to assist downtowns and small businesses in the region. This will be an opportunity to learn what others are doing, and to collaborate and coordinate activities. The session is intended for local governments, Main Street and Elm Street organizations, community and economic development agencies, redevelopment authorities, chambers of commerce and other small business assistance organizations. It will share an understanding of what’s happening and best practices in the region.

Attendees will be able to ask questions of the panel, and are encouraged to share their thoughts about how to:

• Address health/safety operational needs of downtown and small businesses
• Financial assistance and resources to help business recovery, including the CARES Act
• Support small businesses in adapting their service delivery under health restrictions
• Share ideas on how to collaborate in meeting needs and solving problems
