The PA Chamber of Business & Industry presents the 2017 Spring Human Resources Conference— with human resources professionals being tasked with implementing and accommodating so many laws, mandates and requirements imposed on employers, the Pennsylvania Chamber presents the 2017 Spring Human Resources Conference as a complement to our very popular Annual HR Conference which has been held for more than 30 years. The purpose of this event is to cover in-depth a few key topics that are not only “hot,” but that are some of the most difficult to understand and comply with.
The event kicks off with keynote topic The Pennsylvania State Police Opioid/Heroin Action Program for Employers. An extension of PA State Police Capt. Doug Burig’s presentation at our conference in November, the PA State Police has developed a program to train officers on identifying the symptoms indicating an individual may be addicted to an opioid or heroin. The successful training program has been expanded to help businesses and others groups, and HR professionals have expressed strong interest in this program.
