Inspirational Lessons from Around the Globe The Carlisle Area Chamber is excited to have local author, Sherry Knowlton as its speaker for this spring’s Women for Women program. Sherry Knowlton is the author of the Alexa Williams suspense novels: Dead of Autumn, Dead of Summer, Dead of Spring, Dead of Winter, and Dead on the Delta. Knowlton’s career included positions in Pennsylvania State Government, concluding with several years as Deputy Secretary for the Medical Assistance Program. Her private sector years were spent in executive positions in the Medicaid/Medicare managed care field with Independence Blue Cross and AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan. Now rewriting retirement, Knowlton writes, travels, and does occasional health care consulting.

Sherry Knowlton and her husband, Mike, began their journey together in the days of peace and music, traversing the country in a hippie van. They continue to embrace the travel experience, exploring far-flung places around the world. During those journeys, Knowlton has become an advocate for travel as a vehicle for broadening personal horizons, bridging differences, and sparking the sheer joy of stepping into the unknown. She will share some stories of her journeys and talk about how her love for Africa led to her latest book, Dead on the Delta. Knowlton will also share stories and anecdotes that she regards as inspirational lessons from around the globe.
Guests are able to pre-register to receive a copy of Dead on the Delta at a discount rate of $15. Books will be available day of for $20.
Lunch is provided for those that attend in person, please list any dietary restrictions upon registering. A zoom link will be shared the day of the event for those attending virtually. RSVP deadline 3/22/22.
