This year, the Mechanicsburg Chamber of Commerce is proud to feature John Moeller as their Annual Dinner’s keynote speaker on January 15. The Lancaster, PA native is one of the longest-tenured White House chefs across three Administrations. During his tenure from 1992 – 2005, Moeller prepared meals for First Families, including President George H.W. Bush, President Bill Clinton, and President George W. Bush, as well as for world leaders like Tony Blair and Nelson Mandela, for famous guests like Julia Child and Sophia Loren, and for holiday parties and trips to Camp David. “One of my greatest satisfactions as a chef is presenting a first class meal and seeing the enjoyment that it brings to the diners and the goodwill and friendship that it promotes,” said Moeller.
John Moeller now resides in Central PA and runs State of Affairs Catering in Lancaster. In 2013, his book ‘Dining at the White House – From the President’s Table to Yours’ was published. The book won three awards in 2014: Gold for best auto biography, gold for best cook book, and silver for best celebrity memoir. In 2018, he took over a well established restaurant in Lancaster called the Greenfield Restaurant and Bar.
Join us on January 15 as we embark on Chef Moeller’s journey to becoming a White House Chef, and enjoy stories of his experiences working for three First Families.
