Letter from the CEO

April 3, 2020

The safety of our healthcare providers and first responders are critical right now. We must each do our part to ensure their safety and the safety of our most vulnerable residents. If you must go out, please adhere to the social distancing guidelines that have been developed and are being implemented in those businesses that have been determined to be life-sustaining (by business type or by waiver).

The Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) cares about you. We will be ready to support all businesses, especially our small business partners, as we come out of this crisis. Whether it is funding, workforce or marketing, we will be ready to assist you.

Just as we are here for you, it is times like these that we must dig a little deeper in our minds and souls to help those in need. We are joining forces with many organizations across the County and the South Central Pennsylvania region to support our communities and the continuity of our businesses as best we can. We are all in this together.

We continue to see Cumberland County community members step up to help including local restaurants providing food to those in need and donating food to our healthcare providers, manufacturers changing operations to produce much-needed medical supplies and small businesses adapting to still service their customers.

To better help you find the information you need related to COVID-19, we have posted a dedicated page on our website for COVID-19 updates, resources and financing options. Please find it at www.cumberlandbusiness.com/COVID.

The tourism arm of CAEDC has also created a COVID-19 Destination Updates page to highlight event changes, outdoor activity options and how to support our local restaurants that are offering takeout/delivery service. View more at www.visitcumberlandvalley.com/plan/travel-updates/.

I am proud to lead a committed team at CAEDC. We are here for you!
