Back to list October 21, 2016 CAEDC Assists Agribusiness Warrington Farm Meats with Expansion CUMBERLAND VALLEY, PA (October 21, 2016) – Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) assisted Warrington Farm Meats, a long-standing agribusiness, with a $595,000 SBA 504 loan for an expansion to their butcher shop in partnership with M&T Bank. Warrington Farm Meats is a family-owned and operated business that conducts wholesale and retail meat and custom butchering including over 30 different kinds of sausages, hotdogs, snack sticks and bologna. The company is headquartered in Carlisle with two USDA inspected plants in Dillsburg. Due to outgrowing their current space, the expansion will add an additional 9,367 sq. ft. and consolidate their butchering and meat processing with retail at the Butcher Shop location at 156 Old Cabin Hollow Road, Dillsburg. The construction is being done by the ECI Group. The company also provides packaging, processing, smoking and private labeling for other meat distributors. The project is on track for the retail location at Old Cabin Hollow Road to open in January. “CAEDC is thrilled to have been a part of this project. One of our primary target industries identified in the Strategic Economic Development Plan is agribusiness, so assisting an established business with an expansion solidifies the growth opportunity for this industry,” said Laura Potthoff, CAEDC Business Retention and Finance Manager.
