Back to list February 25, 2014 Join Us: Cumberland Valley Alliance The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners created the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation in 2005 to generate and attract investment by performing essential economic development and tourism promotion activities on behalf of the County. In the last eight years, the Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC), a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, has invested $109 million to leverage an additional $336 million in private investment. Over 4,000 jobs have been created or retained in Cumberland Valley with a total investment of $423 million through our site selection, financing and funding programs. For every dollar invested, we have returned $127 in additional investment, which has equated to over $10 million in additional annual tax revenue to our local economy. The Cumberland Valley Alliance (The Alliance) has been formed to provide you with the opportunity to directly impact our community’s business health. One hundred percent of the investment generated from The Alliance will fund existing financing programs that are designed to ignite job growth in Cumberland Valley, in addition to, funding our business attraction efforts through direct marketing dollars. As a Partner, you will have numerous opportunities to learn and network with industry leaders on key topics and legislation through our quarterly and annual meetings, in addition to our Highway to Growth educational seminars. Through The Alliance, CAEDC will be your one-stop shop for economic development information including, legislative updates, bill analyses, statewide economic development news, demographic and market analysis, workforce development, and new development projects throughout Cumberland Valley.
