Cumberland Area Economic Development Corporation (CAEDC) has launched a new website, www.cumberlandbusiness.com, with content and interactive features that will benefit small businesses, chambers of commerce, manufacturers, corporations, non-profits, healthcare, municipalities, site selectors, realtors, brokers and others, with a variety of needs associated with economic development in Cumberland Valley. Development & Site Selection A section of the new site is dedicated specifically to those businesses looking to move to or expand in Cumberland Valley. Features include active projects, permits, success stories and preferred vendors. This section also includes the interactive Site Selection Tool. This tool allows users to search for specific properties that meet their criteria. Users can then learn about the surrounding area and pull up demographic infographics on the communities and municipalities near the property. Financing & Incentives Businesses looking to bridge the financing gap can learn about CAEDC’s financing and grant programs, funding solutions, incentives and economic development zones all in one location. Programs are highlighted in an easy-to-read chart including uses, amounts, terms and interest rates. Community Profile The Community Profile section of the new website is a great resource for information on the communities that make up Cumberland Valley, as well as, information on area schools and colleges, healthcare, housing and climate information. Resource Directory The Resource Directory is a wealth of information including breakouts for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and relocation and expansion efforts. Economic impact information, county and municipal contacts, state agencies and legislative officials can also be found in this section. Data, Map & Demographics The Data, Map & Demographics section offers valuable information including tax info, industry mix, workforce profile, reports and studies. An interactive highlight of this section is the Data Map which outlines the county and provides insight into school districts, municipal lines, zones, business parks, notable employers, access to transportation and more. Other sections of the website highlight CAEDC’s Alliance Program, upcoming news and events and an About Us page with staff contacts.
